Join us for our final Summer Farm Tour of the season at Roots to River Farm on Aug 6! Potluck begins at 6PM followed by a farmer-led tour at 7PM! Free!

Farm Tour at Morgan Creek Farm!

BCFA kicked off our Summer Farm Tours at the wonderful Morgan Creek Farms in Quakertown in June. See photos and learn all about Farmers Steph and Adam's vegetable CSA and farrow-to-finish (birth to butcher) pastured hog operation.

 

Action Item: Water for Wildlife!

Everyone needs water, even insects and wildlife! With soaring summer temperatures, it’s important to provide water sources for birds, insects, and other wildlife to keep hydrated and cool. The key to all outdoor watering stations is to change water frequently or keep the water moving. For some easy tips (like leaving a frisbee with water), click here!

 

Permaculture Corner!

Welcome back to Lorraine's permie corner! Come explore one of the 12 principles of permaculture (spoilers, this month's is "Catch and Store Energy" and learn some permie tips to incorporate into your garden! Read more here!

 

Feed a Family, Support a Family Farm In Full Swing!

One of our favorite and most impactful programs has kicked in gear this summer! Our volunteers purchase extra produce from farmers and drop them off at local food pantries. Neighbors in need get access to fresh, healthy local produce and our farmers get more sales - win win! Read more and donate to the program here!

 

Good Folk Project

It all started with some donated zucchini starters in the middle of the pandemic. Now the Good Folk Project is growing 1,000s of pounds of vegetables for neighbors in need. Learn more about this impactful local organization here!

As development continues in the Bucks County area and beyond, reducing forests and farms to strip malls and neighborhoods, the plants in YOUR yard, garden, or local farm are more important than ever. Read about adding milkweed to your garden!

BCFA is the parent organization of the Wrightstown and Doylestown Farmers Markets! Our farmers markets are officially open every Saturday!
